Application 2018

The European Piano Contest Bremen will be held from February 3rd 2018 (arrival) to February 13th 2018 (final round) in Bremen.

Admitted to participate

are pianists from Europe including the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Georgia, Ukraine, Turkey and Israel.

The contest is open to the public.

  • 1st prize 10,000 € — Sparkasse Bremen
  • 2nd prize 5,000 € — the Saacke family
  • 3rd prize 2,500 € — the Osmers family
  • Audience Award 2,000 € — Bremer Tageszeitungen AG

Special Awards

  • 1,000 € Prize
    for the best interpretation of the compulsory piece of music
  • 2,000 € Special Award 2018
    for the youngest semifinalist, Heinz Peter und Annelotte Koch-Stiftung
  • 1,000 € Special Award 2018
    donated by the international association Internationaler Arbeitskreis Frau und Musik e.V.
    It will be awarded for the excellent interpretation of a piece of music by a woman composer. Candidates can find a repertoire list on the Internet at www.archiv-frau-musik.de

CD Production

At the end of the contest a double CD will be produced with the prize winners.
