Competition 2020/21

For more than two decades, the European Piano Competition Bremen has been offering the opportunity to present themselves to an esteemed jury and an interested audience to young pianists from all over Europe including CIS states, Turkey and Israel.
The 2020 competition has been postponed to 2021 due to the global Covid19 crisis. We are happy to announce that the 17th European piano competition could take place from the 2nd round in presence in Bremen from 12-18.7.2021. The 1st round was held by video submission.

Schedule

Date changes subject to all currently unpredictable risks of the current crisis.

Due to the pandemic situation, the 1st round of the competition was held online. Our jury selected 12 participants based on the videos submitted, who will travel to Bremen for the 2nd round. If current events permit, we are happy to have an audience at the Sendesaal Bremen. In addition, the competition will be broadcast on the internet.
The following schedule is currently planned:

2nd round - Schubert round

Monday 12.07. to Tuesday 13.07., 10 am and 3 pm
SENDESAAL BREMEN, Bürgermeister-Spitta-Allee 45, 28329 Bremen
Admission: 5,- € / day Tickets for the respective day directly at the Sendesaal Bremen. Tuesday, 13.07: announcement of results in the evening

3rd round - Semifinals

Wednesday 14.07. to Thursday 15.07., 3 pm__
SENDESAAL BREMEN, Bürgermeister-Spitta-Allee 45, 28329 Bremen
The exact schedule will be published on 13.07. around 21.00 hrs.
Admission: 5,- € / day
Tickets for the respective day directly at the Sendesaal Bremen.
Thursday, 15.07: announcement of the results in the evening

Final round

Final round in the Sendesaal Bremen Sunday 18.07, 4 pm and 7 pm
A string quartet of the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra will play.
Tickets for the solo round in the afternoon at 4 pm and the round with string quartet in the evening at 7 pm are available at the Sendesaal Bremen. Up-to-date information on the livestream will be announced here. Tickets already purchased for the final in the Glocke can be returned there.
